Assign leaders to the FOH or BOH

Customize how HotSchedules job or location codes connect to specific BOH or FOH positions in OneClick

Question: How does OneClick assign which leaders should be visible in the BOH vs FOH layouts?
Answer: This is done in HotSchedules by assigning FOH leaders a different job code than the BOH leaders so that OneClickApp can differentiate the shifts and put them in the right places.

When all the leaders have the same job code (like "Leadership", or "Shift Leader"), there is no distinction between FOH and BOH placement for the leaders. In this case, OneClickApp would be configured to assign leaders to both the FOH and BOH unless it is requested to be different.

What are the options?
OneClick is customizable to use information in both job codes and locations to assign team members to specific positions. For leaders, it is common to use different job codes for the FOH leaders versus the BOH leaders.
The commonly available leadership job codes are:
  • Leadership (Leadership schedule)
  • Shift Leader (Leadership schedule)
  • Team Leader (Leadership schedule)
  • Administrative (Other schedule)
Consider using the following guidelines:
  • Leadership & Shift Leader - Means FOH leader. OneClick places these only in the FOH
  • Team Leader - Means BOH leader. OneClick places these only in the BOH
  • Administrative - Means non-ops leader. OneClick does not show them on the roster so they aren't assigned a position.

Another example is to that OneClick an auto-populate Drivers into the correct position in the FOH layout or even in a 3rd "Catering" area or anything you want.
