Layout Revision

Learn how to track changes with Layout History and pinpoint areas that need improvement.

Introduction

Tracking layout changes is essential for accountability, maintaining a record, and understanding the evolution of a store's layout. The Layout History feature offers a comprehensive overview of modifications, allowing leaders to view a summary or detailed account of changes made. This article explores the capabilities of Layout History and how it facilitates tracking and understanding layout adjustments.

Accessing Layout History

  1. Locating Layout History:

    • Navigate to the roster interface within the system.
    • Below the roster, you'll find the Layout History section, displaying the historical record of layout changes.
  2. Filtering by User:

    • Layout History can be filtered based on the user who made the changes.
    • This provides a more specific view of modifications made by a particular leader or user.

Understanding Layout Changes

The Layout History feature provides visibility into various modifications made to the layout. Here are some changes you can observe:

  1. Adding or Moving Team Members:

    • Records when a leader adds or moves a team member to a position.
    • Provides insights into personnel changes within the layout.
  2. Layout Completion and Assignment:

    • Captures when a layout is completed and team members are assigned to their positions.
    • Tracks the finalization of a layout.
  3. Resetting and Auto Scheduling:

    • Tracks instances where a leader resets the layout or performs an Auto Schedule.
    • Provides information on major layout changes and operational adjustments.
  4. Copying and Pasting Layouts:

    • Records when a leader copies previous or following layouts or pastes a layout from a different time period.
    • Helps understand the evolution of the layout and the reasoning behind changes.
  5. Creating and Removing Layout Times:

    • Captures when a leader creates a new layout time or removes an existing one.
    • Tracks layout schedule organization and changes in configuration over time.

Observing Layout History in Action

To see how Layout History functions and the insights it provides, watch the provided demonstration video. It showcases the Layout History feature and highlights its significance in tracking layout changes.

The following is a transcript of the video generated by a computer. The wording may be different.

[00:01] Hey everyone from OneClick, this is Kevin. In this video I'm going to show you what the layout history is, this part at the bottom of the roster. So, basically what this is, is it shows who's done what inside the layout, so for example, when I move this person here, because I'm signed in as Jessica, it says Jessica added this person to mobile drinks, and I could do that same thing for all of them, and you can see I've moved three shifts. As I finish all of them, it'll then say Jessica completed the layout, because that's who I'm signed in as. When I click view more, it shows exactly who I moved, and then it even says that I completed the layout at 8:33, because that's what time it is right now. If I move more people it just says, “hey I moved you from this place to this place”, or “hey, I moved you from here to here”, that kind of a thing.

[00:55] Now, if I move someone off, and then put them back on, it doesn't say I completed it again, because I already completed it once. Now, if I go to a different time, you can see here that the layout history doesn't show any different changes, it just shows that it created the setup as well as the checklist, because it's a new shift, basically, but the 9 o'clock one shows I did stuff to it, because I did do things to it. So, now, if I click on the auto-schedule button, it says I completed the layout, and that I used auto-schedule to do the 15 shifts, because there's 15 shifts here. So, as I go through each of these things, and even if I sign in as someone else, so if I do like this, I'm now signed in as Kent, when Kent moves something, so for example, moves it like this, rather than saying before it was Jessica completed it, it's now saying Kent did that.

[01:57] So, you can use it to track which leaders moved who, or if for whatever reason, like I moved Peyton here, and Peyton doesn't, in this case, doesn't know bagging, you can say, “oh, Kent moved them there, there has to be a reason for it”, and so then you can go talk to Kent to see that, you know, why that is, or whatever. This is a new feature, and so we are currently updating it to do more things, and so if you do have any additional feedback, don't hesitate to reach out. You can either do that by the email, or the button down below for ‘Reply with Video’. And we're welcome to answer any other questions that you guys have as well.
