Layout Timing Bug Fixed: Dates Now Accurate
Recently, we released a fix for a bug concerning the layout times appearing on the incorrect days. Now, all layouts will appear on the correct day specified in the layout editor. In this article, we will attempt to help you understand the issue, and how the fix will affect you and your store.
The Issue:
Previously, depending on the time zone you are in, early morning layouts would appear a day late. For example, if you are in the Pacific time zone (UTC - 8:00), any layouts before 8 AM would be affected and appear on the following day.
Example:
In the past, if I were compensating for the issue and was in the Pacific time zone, any layouts that I wanted to appear on Tuesday before 8:00 AM would need to be added during Monday in the layout editor:
Now, you can simply move those layouts to the correct day:
The Fix:
Thanks to our development team, this issue has been fixed. That means that if you were intentionally compensating for this issue by adding layouts 1 day early, they will now appear exactly on the day that is specified in the layout editor.
