Overview

The OneClick Training Ratings system allows the Leaders to track Team Member progress across all the stores positions. Using a "Position Progression" model, the Training Ratings work side-by-side with Passports (training checklists), creating a balanced system. By building Training Ratings in your account, you also will be able to utilize the Auto-Schedule feature.

Position Progression

OneClick’s Position Progression is a structured learning roadmap that tracks a Team Member’s growth within the store. Each store starts with default positions, enabling a systematic approach to training and development.

For example, a New Recruit begins training in the First Day FOH position, receiving Training Ratings to track progress. After a week, they may advance to Dining Room, where additional training and ratings continue to assess their performance. If they excel, they might be fast-tracked to the Bagger position. Or they may receive additional ratings in other positions.

This system allows Leaders to adapt training based on performance while maintaining valuable progress data.

Assigning Ratings

Training Ratings can be given at any time and do not have a cap of how many can be issued.

How Ratings are Calculated

Training Ratings are on a scale from 0 (not been rated), to 5 (highest rating).

One Leader Ratings: When one Leader has provided multiple Training Ratings to a Team Members position, the score will reflect that Leaders most recent rating score. For instance, if Manager, Paul, gives Team Member, Todd, a 2 Training Rating in Beverages, then goes back in a week later and gives another rating of 4, the total score would be 4 (assuming no other Leaders provided ratings for this person or position).

Multiple Leader Ratings: If two or more Leaders provide a Training Rating in the same position, it will average all the scores. For instance, if Manager, Paul, gives Team Member, Todd, a 2 Training Rating in Beverages, and another Manager gives Todd a 4 in Beverages, the score will reflect the average as 3.

Giving Ratings

There are many ways to give Training Ratings. Each option may be used in different scenarios, so it's good to understand them all. The methods are listed from most efficient to least efficient.

3. Follow the prompts to give all Team Members on the Shift that day ratings. The system will ask you to provide missing ratings or outdated ratings based on the Team Members assignment.

Shifts

(Medium efficient, use when giving a rating to someone on shift that day).

1. While on the Shifts page, long click/press on a Team Members name in the lineup or on the Layout. A synapsis of their profile will appear.
2. Under "Training Scores" select the position, then rate the position.

*Training Rating position criteria can be adjusted using the Customization Rubric.

Viewing Ratings

Colors

The colors of Training Ratings will provide you with an efficient way to track progress.

  • Blue positions indicate a satisfactory score of 3 or more.
  • Pink position indicate a below than average score of 2.9 or less.
  • Grey and light red positions indicate a non-rated position. When a grey or light red position has a rating when it has not yet been rated, this is called an Assumed Rating.

Assumed Rating: Used to "predict" or "assume" a positions rating based on the upper position that does have a rating. For example, below you will see that Window has a Training Rating of 4. Because of this, the system assumes this Team Member will also be a 4 at everything below it, until you tell the system otherwise. First Day FOH has a rating, so the Assumed Rating will never override an inputted rating. Catering was given a 2 rating, now everything below it is flagged as a below than average rating and assumed to also be a 2.

Please note, all permission for Leadership will be given an assumed rating of 4 on all positions.

*To remove Assumed Rating feature, please Submit a Ticket.

Rating & Shift Assignments

The Auto-Schedule feature is a huge benefit to building your Training Ratings, as it will provide a "One Click" option to putting "Aces in their places". But what if you want to manually assign people based on Training Ratings? Maybe even assign Team Members with lower ratings to positions for more training? Here's how!

Each of your layout positions has a lightbulb icon when empty (no Team Members assigned).

When you click on the lightbulb, a window will pop-up where you can see a list of all your lineup for that shift, and how their ratings land for that specific position.

For example, when clicking on the Dining Room lightbulb, we get a list of all the "A Players" who would do great in this position. Alternatively, we also get to view who might need some help in that position. If it's a slower shift, you may want to spend more time on training. For example, below Breanna N. has a 2.8 Training Rating in Dining Room. The Leader can decide to place her in that position (press "Assign") and give her some added training to improve her score.

FAQs

When a team member is rated more than once in a single position, can the displayed rating be the average instead of the most recent rating?

Yes. The default behavior averages of the most recent ratings and ratings further in the past are weighted less in the average. Feel free to also access the historical record of all ratings and any rating notes.

Why does anyone above Team Member permission automatically gets a 4-star rating?

OneClick assumes that all leaders have been trained on all positions and it automatically displays a four-start rating for all their rating positions. If the rating on specific positions should be higher or lower, manually entering a rating will override the assumed rating.

What do gray rating circles mean?

The rating system works as a progression system with the easiest positions on the left and the more difficult positions on the right. When a team member is rated in a more difficult position before an easier position, the system assumes they would have the same rating in the easier position and marks it with a gray rating. This can be overridden by entering a rating specifically for that position. Alternatively, OneClick Support can disable the assumed rating feature.

What do red vs blue rating circles mean?

A red circle means the rating is below average on that position, while a blue circle means it is above average. Similar to gray circles, a dark-colored circle means the rating was manually entered, whereas a light-colored circle means the system assumed the rating.

In this example Cash Cart is rated at a 2.6. Shakes is assumed at that same rating. Where Window was rated at 4.5 rating.
